Creating a request (either for proposal or information) in PERSUIT is a flexible process.
Creating the Request:
There are two main ways to create your request: through a Template or to Start from Scratch.
In the PERSUIT Homepage, you will find the Templates subject wheel. You’ll be presented with two categories to help find the best template for your matter: Use Case and Matter Type. When you find the subject of interest, click on Explore Templates to view the templates related to that subject.
When you find the template you’d like to use, you can hover over it and be given the options to Preview or Use this Template. Choosing Preview lets you preview the RFx structure of any template. You can press Back to Templates to select a different template or press the Continue button to take you to the request drafting screen where you can edit the template to suit your request’s needs.
You can also choose to skip previewing the RFx and immediately work on the template by clicking Use this Template which will take you directly to the request drafting screen.
Another way to create a request is by clicking Create Request found in the expanded menu after clicking the hamburger menu icon. The menu icon will always be at the top left of any page in the PERSUIT platform.
It will lead you to the Templates page where you can either choose a Template for your request or click Start from Scratch found at the top right. Starting from Scratch skips the template selection process and allows you to build your request without any pre-built structure.
The Templates subject wheel in the PERSUIT homepage will also hold a Start from Scratch button at the end of it.
Draft the Request:
When you create a request by starting from scratch, you'll first see a Select Use Case pop up. You will need to select the relevant Use Case for the request that you are building in order to move on to drafting the request. If you've chosen a pre-existing template to create your request, you will not need to select a Use Case as the label will be inherited by the template.
When in the request drafting screen, you will see three main sections to complete:
1. Content
2. Settings
3. Invite
Content section
Provide a summary of the matter/project, and lay out your needs and asks.
For RFPs the Pricing section guides you on creating a scope of work for the firms to respond to.
Finally the Questions section allows you to ask strategic questions to help determine which firm is the best fit.
Our Diversity Module enables you to capture insights into how your firm is prioritizing DE&I initiatives.
Settings section
Timeline is for configuring the request timeline and Reverse Auction.
Require Firms to clear a Conflict Check before they see the full request information.
Tracking helps your team to organize and find requests, as well as improving reporting and analytics.
You'll still be able to modify the tracking fields after sending.
Scorecard: use this internal, optional section to evaluate proposals. You'll still be able to create or modify the scorecard after publishing.
Invite section
Who do you want to send the request to? You can enter contacts here before hitting the eventual send button. Learn more about using the invite field and firm contacts directory.
Before sending
We strongly recommend previewing what the firms will see by clicking on the Preview button found at the top right title bar.
View this article here for more information on how to export your draft request.
