When drafting a request, clients have various question types to choose from for how they elicit responses from firms. The question types are:

- Short text - plain text answer, 800 character limit (~125 words)
- Medium text - plain text answer, 2500 characters (~400 words)
- Long text - plain text answer, Unlimited characters
- Numeric - only numeric character answers allowed (9 characters)
- Money - only numeric currency based answers allowed
- Percentage - a numeric character with a percentage (%) suffix
- Single select- choose a single option from a pre-defined list of options
- Multiple select - choose multiple options from a pre-defined list of options
- Scale input - choose a single option on a pre-defined scale
Additionally, for non-text answer types, there is an optional comment field for firm users to provide extra context.
You can create, edit, and delete as many questions as you like while drafting a Request. The PERSUIT templates contain many questions you can use for ideas. You can also use this Question Bank article for inspiration.
Remember that you should only ask questions that will influence your evaluation as you compare proposals. You can delete any superfluous questions from a template, therefore saving both you and the firms time.
Order your questions
As you compile your questions you may want to change their order, using the drag and drop functionality. All newly added questions will populate at the bottom of your questions list.
Answers to the questions will display in the proposal comparison screen once you receive responses.
