This feature allows you to download data points from your request into a Word document for executing engagement letters.
Depending on the level of customization, this can include data points like:
- Request summary (scope of work)
- Selected firm and their proposal summary
- Agreed fees (inc. by phase breakdown)
- Answers to qualitative questions (i.e. inc. assumptions)
- Custom tracking fields (practice area, region)
When closing out your request, there are two steps to keep in mind:
Generating the Engagement Letter
At the top of the winning firm's proposal, click Manage Proposal.
Within the popup, click on Generate Engagement Letter.
You will see PERSUIT's Standard Engagement Letter template as well as any other engagement letter templates created by your organization. Select the template you would like to use for this matter.
Click Confirm on the next screen to download your chosen engagement letter template.
Once the engagement letter template has been downloaded, you can edit it in Microsoft Word. This will include fields that require your attention, as well as proof reading that all details are accurately and appropriately captured. Please bear in mind that some of the information may be pulled from the firm's proposal, so will inherit their wording and structure, which you may wish to revise.
You can then send the document to your firm(s) for signature using whichever tools you currently use outside of PERSUIT, as well as storing the document internally as required.
Uploading the Final Engagement Letter
After the engagement letter document has been signed, you can upload a final copy into PERSUIT that both parties can reference at any time.
At the top of the relevant firm's proposal, click Manage Proposal.
Within the pop-up, click on Upload Final Engagement Letter.
Attach the executed engagement letter file.
Press confirm to finalize the upload. Firms will be notified by email and on the platform.
Above the firm's proposal, you will find the Engagement Letter attached. Both you and the firm will be able to download a copy as needed.
Note: Uploading a Letter of Engagement does not select the firm. That action must be taken separately. See instructions.
