If you no longer wish to move forward with a firm at any time during the RFP process, you can mark them as unsuccessful. Firms marked as unsuccessful will no longer be able to view the RFP details and will only have access to their proposal.
Why is this important?
- Complete and accurate data: both for client-side reporting, as well as for firms
- Transparency and communication: let the provider know where they stand and the status of their bid
How do I mark a firm as unsuccessful?
There are two options?
'Manage proposal' within a specific proposal:
Select 'manage proposal' at the top.
Select Mark firm as unsuccessful in the expanded modal menu.
You'll be given two options: Notify the Unsuccessful Firm or Do Not Send Notifications.
Whichever you select, you'll be directed a confirmation screen to finalize the process.
From the FIRMS tab:
Select Manage Firm, found in the Firms tab of your request.
Select Mark Firm as unsuccessful in the expanded modal menu.
Choose whether or not to notify the firm.
Then confirm your selection to finalize the process.
Note: If you would like to see the message that firms receive after you've marked them as unsuccessful and have chosen to notify them, please view this article here.
What happens next after a firm is marked as unsuccessful?
-
Proposal feedback. It is best practice to provide quality feedback for each proposal so firms know why they did not win the work.
- Select the winning proposal and complete the request. Again, for data reporting accuracy, and letting firms know where they stand.
