Enhancements
Add an auction to a request that's already been sent
Overview
The often requested capability to add an auction to an existing request, after it has been sent and proposals have been received, is now available.
- Users will be able to add the auction after a request has been sent, and even after proposals have been received. The minimum requirements are:
- The request must include a total price OR some pricing items that constitute a comparison value. These enable the generation of auction rankings.
Rate cards and hourly rates do not meet these requirements. Therefore, it will not be possible to add an auction to a request with only hourly rates or rate cards* (work is in progress to enable auctions for rate card only requests - these requirements will be updated after that is released)
FAQs
How do I add an auction to an existing request?
There are two ways to add an auction:
1. When minimum requirements are met the “ADD AN AUCTION” button will appear in the ‘CAB’ menu - the menu at the top of the request page.
2. The ‘EDIT REQUEST’ button opens a modal (window). The “Add an auction” feature has been added to that menu. It will be available for selection when the minimum requirements for an auction request are met.
Can I add an auction after I have received proposals?
Yes, if the request meets the minimum requirements (as outlined in the solution section above) an auction can be added after receiving proposals.
Why is the add an auction button greyed out in the edit request menu?
If the request does not meet the minimum requirements for an auction, the request has been completed or the request has a firm selected then it is not sensible to add an auction. Therefore, the user is prevented from doing so
This is explained to the user in the subtext of the Add an auction menu item:
“The request must include elements that generate a price rank, such as a total price or pricing items that contribute to a comparison price (rate cards and hourly rates do not satisfy this requirement).”
Improvements to Messages
Overview
We've added a few new updates to the messages functionality since last release:
- Users can now use a limited set of rich text controls when composing their messages:
- Bold
- Italic
- Underlined
- Bullets
- Numbers
- Quotes
- Message box expansion
-
The message pane can be expanded to fill 50% of the screen.
-
The message pane can also be popped out into a new window. This is to allow the user to manage their own windows and view the RFP or proposals simultaneously with the messaging channels. Users can put the messages window side-by-side or onto a second monitor.

Added "Drafts" Tab to Homepage Requests View
Overview
The "active" tab on the home dashboard can become bloated with the multiple requests types, especially draft requests. We have created a ‘Drafts’ section (tab) to reduce the ‘clutter’ in the active tab.
