Custom Fields & Forms (Releases 337 & 339)
Custom Tracking Fields has become Custom Fields & Forms — one place to build the taxonomies and forms your team uses across RFPs and matter intake. It's now available to all customers, and your existing fields and tagged data were migrated automatically, so there's nothing you need to do.
- Fields and forms in one place. Use Custom Fields to manage your taxonomies and Custom Forms to build the forms that use them, including the RFP Tracking Section form.
- Edit fields without leaving the form. Create or edit a field directly from the form you're building.
- Duplicate or delete forms. Reuse a similar layout, or clear out forms you no longer need.
- Easier to work with. Multi-select fields now support custom ordering and search, and field descriptions show on the form.
One thing to note: new custom fields no longer appear in the RFP Tracking Section automatically — add them via Settings > Custom Fields & Forms > RFP Tracking Section Form.
Request Access to RFPs and proposals (Release 338)
When you land on an RFP or proposal you don't have access to, you can now request it on the spot instead of hitting a dead end. Click Request Access, and PERSUIT notifies colleagues who already have access to approve or deny. Approval grants access immediately, and you're notified either way. This works for both firm and client users, so there's no need to wait on a colleague or support to share it with you.
Persi (Releases 338 & 340)
Three improvements landed for Persi this month:
- Visual answers (Release 338). When a chart, timeline or comparison would make an answer clearer, Persi now builds one directly in the chat — automatically when it helps, or when you ask (for example, "show this as a chart").
- Backed by PERSUIT's expert knowledge (Release 340). Persi's answers now draw on 40+ guidance documents from PERSUIT's Legal Advisory Team — covering alternative fee arrangements, rate negotiation, panel management, outside counsel management, spend analysis and more — automatically, whenever they'd strengthen a response.
- Self-serve access (Release 338). Organization admins can now turn Persi on for individual users or the whole team from Settings > User Access > Feature Management > AI & Automation.
Rate Review Pro: compare firms across currencies (Release 348)
You can now compare every firm in a rate review in one table, even when they've submitted in different currencies — no more switching back and forth, and no firms dropping out of view. A new Normalized / Submitted toggle sits above the Rates table: Normalized converts all rates into one currency so every qualifying firm stays visible, while Submitted shows the original submitted currencies. Each value is labeled Direct or Blended so you can see what it represents, and exports match whatever view you're looking at.
Lock questions for drafters in your templates (Release 349)
Template managers can now lock individual questions so they can't be removed when someone builds a request from the template. A new Locked for requests checkbox sits alongside Required for firms in the template editor. Locked questions carry through to the draft with a visible Locked badge — drafters can reorder them, but can't edit or delete them. This keeps critical questions, like compliance disclosures, conflict checks and standard evaluation criteria, intact no matter who builds the request.
Firm Profiles: proof points in the Lawyer Directory (Release 338)
Premium (Firm Plus) lawyer profiles now show their proof points — differentiators, matters and expertise — directly in the client-side Lawyer Directory, alongside the gold profile banner. Previously these only appeared in the invite flow. Now clients can see this evidence at the point they're deciding who to include in an RFP, so the detail a lawyer builds into their profile shows up where it counts.
Firm Plus: the Opportunity Report is now open to all firm users (Release 343)
Every firm user can now see the full Opportunity Report — Snapshot, Expertise Profile, Market Trends and Panel Utilization — where much of it used to be gated. The Expertise Profile adds a new dual-axis chart view alongside the existing bubble chart, and filtering now sits inline within the report. Filtering beyond the defaults, and export, remain Firm Plus features. This gives every firm a clearer read on where they stand in the market.
