Reverse Auctions are often the best way to identify the right counsel at the right price, but it is important to remember that clients are not obligated to select the lowest bidder. In the event you decide that an auction is not necessary after you send out the request, the PERSUIT platform has the functionality to cancel the auction.
Note: The PERSUIT platform will not allow you to adjust the auction timeline or cancel the auction once it has begun, so any changes must happen before its start. You can still change the auction type (i.e. which information and detail the firms can see) during the auction. Please see this article for more information.
In the specific request with the upcoming auction, click on Edit Request at the top of the page.
The Cancel Auction option lives in this Edit Request pop-up menu. You'll need to confirm your decision on the next screen.
You'll know the auction has been successfully cancelled as a clarification will be posted on your request to alert all participating firms.
How will participating firms be notified of the auction cancellation?
All participating firms will be notified via these touchpoints:
- Email notification
- A system-generated Clarification
- An automatic message in each private messaging channel
See this article for more information on how to add an auction to your published request.
