Once the reverse auction is live and in progress, updates to the timeline cannot be made except than through a firm's bid.
1. The reverse auction end-time automatically extends for 5 minutes if there is a firm bid in the last 5 minutes of the auction. There can be multiple 5 minute extensions of the auction end time.
2. Firms can also extend an auction by clicking "Revise Proposal". This will extend the auction for another 5 minutes, giving firms the opportunity to finalize changes before submission.
If you choose to reopen a Request, you can keep the Request open to proposals and view new proposals or revised prices in the Comparator screen. You can notify firms in the Messages channel, or via a Clarification, if you wish to place a time limit on how long you will consider new proposals.
If you wish to conduct a new reverse auction you can Copy the Request and select Enable Reverse Auction while it is still a draft.
If you would like more information on how to update and revise the request timeline, view this article here.
