New "Edit Request" Menu Button to consolidate RFP actions
The following menu buttons and actions have been consolidated into a single dialog provided at the top of the request called "Edit Request." Once a user clicks "Edit Request" they will be able to access the following functions:
-
Add clarification - same function that existed before - ability to post an announcement at the top of the request and which triggers an email to all firms.
-
Change timeline - same function that existed before - ability to adjust the timeline of the RFP including auction start and end date before the auction begins.
-
Change auction type - same function that existed before - ability to adjust the auction type
-
Cancel auction - NEW - ability to cancel the auction and prevent it from taking place is available as long as the auction has not yet started.
-
Update request - same function - ability to directly edit/ revise the content of the RFP such as assumptions, adding additional questions or pricing items, etc.
Previously all of the above would get their own button in the CAB at the top of the request .
Now they are all listed as options with the "Edit Request" function.
Step 1. Click "Edit Request"
Step 2. Choose which aspect of the Request you'd like to update, clarify, or revise.
Ability to cancel auction
Clients can now cancel auctions before they start. The previous functionality did not allow clients to cancel auctions on their own - they had to contact PERSUIT support.
Now clients can select "Cancel Auction" within the new "Edit Request" menu. The ability to cancel an auction is available only before the auction begins.
After cancellation:
-
The RFP will no longer be an auction.
-
Bot messages will be sent to firm via the private message channels confirming the cancellation.
-
A system clarification will be generated.
-
Firms will get an email saying the auction has been cancelled.
Collared fee pricing item model
PERSUIT has added "Collared Fee" as a pricing model type within the "pricing" drop down menu alongside fixed fee, capped fee, and others.
Collared fee is available only within Items and not available within the total price options or the sub-pricing-item pricing model options.
Client Request Draft View:
Step 1. Click on the pricing drop down menu
Step 2. Select "Collared Fee"
Firm Side:
Firms can type in a fee amount with the words "Collared Fee" describing the fee type. For any additional clarity on the collar - firms can provide narrative description within their item description and assumptions.
Small enhancements to Proposal Comparison View
-
Removed "Response Details" as a collapsible section header and provided the “Proposal Summary” as a new row to under the “Total price” row. If there is no total price then “Proposal Summary” will be the first row.
2. Remove the “Proposal Subject” row as most firms did not provide subjects or titles to their proposals and this was taking up space.
3. Replaced triangular expand icon with magnifying glass icon.
4. Increased the truncation length of the question answer cell to provide users more text visible before expanding the cell.
5. Changed text in expanded display of question answers from Gray to Black for better readability.
Smaller Changes:
- Improved technical behavior of email input when sending to firms.
Unsuccessful Firms and Conflict check
-
When a Firm is marked as Unsuccessful, they will no longer be able to view full request details. Instead they will now see:
-
Basic Request details (Name, Requester and Due date) if RFP has conflict check disabled
-
Basic Request details and Conflict check information, if RFP has conflict check enabled
-
-
Bug Fix for conflict check:
-
Conflict check information that was entered on an RFP prior to turning off the Conflict Check option still showed up in the Firm request dashboard. This is now fixed.
-
-
RFP update form: Disable save and send buttons while files are uploading.
Avoids the bad situation where a user can save or submit an RFP before some files have finished uploading. -
Improved behavior of comparison view when user is in the IE11 browser.
-
Changed the text in the bot messages sent to firm private channels after an RFP update.
Bot message now says:
> {client org name} has updated the request. You may need to revise your proposal. -
Client dashboard RFP list items - Change “UNSENT UPDATE” label to an icon.
