In PERSUIT, once a request's deadline passes and is in the "Evaluating" stage, the proposal is locked from further edits but that doesn't mean you're out of options. Firms can request that the in-house team reopen the proposal directly within the platform, giving the request owner the choice to approve or decline. This keeps the entire conversation centralized, so you're not chasing approvals over email or losing track of where things stand.
In this article, you’ll learn how to:
- Navigate to the Reopen Request button
- Submit a request to reopen your proposal
- Recognize what happens when the in-house team decides
Navigating to the Request Reopen Button
On any request in Evaluating status, the Reopen Request button appears in two places: in the top navigation bar on the right, and inside the yellow "Editing is Closed" alert box.
Submitting a Request to Reopen Your Proposal
If you need to edit your proposal after the deadline has passed, click the Request Reopen button to ask the request owner for editing permissions.
Once the request is sent, the button turns gray and can no longer be clicked. The yellow alert box also turns blue, confirming that the reopen request has been sent to the client.
After making the request, the in-house request owner will receive an email notification, along with an in-platform alert on the request, letting them know you've requested editing access.
What Happens when the In-house Request Owner Decides
Request owners have the ability to approve or decline any request to reopen the request to allow editing privileges.
Request to Reopen has been Approved
If the request owner approves the request to reopen, you’ll receive an email notification informing you that it has been reopened and you’re able to make edits.
In the request page, you’ll see the Evaluating status now says “Request Reopened for your Firm” and the Revise button available again. For more information on how to revise your proposal, please view this article here.
Request to Reopen has been Declined
If the request owner declines/rejects the request to reopen, you’ll receive an email notification informing you that the request has been declined and the proposal, as is, still stands.
In the request page, the Request Reopen button will reappear and no Revise button will be available.
