Note: you must have Group Manager permissions in order to access User Access.
Navigating to User Access
Start by clicking on Settings within the lefthand main menu.
You’ll then be directed to the Internal Users section of User Access.
Internal Users in User Access
This section showcases a user table to view, create and manage your group’s existing and new users in one place.
This table includes six columns that provide key details about your users, helping you strategically manage access across your organization.
- Active shows if the user is active or disabled. Learn more about this here.
- First Name shows the user’s first name within the platform.
- Last Name shows the user’s last name within the platform.
- Email shows the user’s associated email address.
- Team shows the team that the user is a part of.
- Roles shows the users set roles and any advanced permissions. View this article to learn more about PERSUIT’s roles and permissions.
Above the user table, you’ll see a Search Bar to freely search by name or email.
You’ll also be able to filter the user table by clicking the Filters button to make the Filters window appear. You can set the filters by Team and/or Roles & Permissions.
After the filters are set, you can click elsewhere on the page to remove the Filters window from view while keeping selected filters in place.
To clear any set filters, open the Filters window and then click Remove All at the bottom of the filter bar to remove them.
You can also export the list of users displayed in the table. Any filters applied at the time of export will impact which users are included. You can to choose between a CSV or Excel file.
Adding a New User
To add a new user to your group in PERSUIT, simply click on Add User in the Internal Users page.
Fill out the form, starting with the user’s first and last name and their email address.
Note: The email address must have an approved domain for your organization. To add a new domain to your organization’s approved domain list, please reach out to support@persuit.com.
After that, you’ll see a Team dropdown to select the team this new user should belong to. Every user must be assigned a team. If you would like to edit your organization’s teams or add new teams, please view this article here.
Lastly, you can optionally set Roles for each user, using the toggles. A gray toggle denotes the role is disabled and blue shows enabled. This article contains more information about these additional permissions.
Organizations using SAML
Please note that you will not be able to edit Roles in User Access, due to the SAML structure. This must be completed in your internal SAML environment. The Add User form looks like this:
After the user’s account details are set, click Add User to finalize the process. You’ll find the newly added user within the user table.
Once a user is added, they’ll receive a Welcome email asking them to activate their new account.
Editing an Existing User
After finding their account in the table, click the pencil icon to the right of their row.
The Edit User window allows you to edit their name, team and permissions. Only their email address cannot be changed. Contact support@persuit.com if this poses any issues and the team can advise.
If any edits are made, click Update User at the bottom of the window to finalize the process.
Disabling Users
The Active column and toggle color in the user table shows if the user is active or disabled. Blue for active; gray for disabled. Click this toggle to make changes.
A confirmation pop-up will appear for you to review the action. Press Disable again to finalize the action.
You’ll know the user has been successfully disabled when their Active toggle is gray.
You can update the active toggle on any user as often as needed. Any changes to the toggle will be automatically saved and in immediate effect.
