Group Managers can add, edit and disable users self-service in Settings. Previously this was handled via our Support team, but now you have full control.
Navigating to User & Feature Management
Open Settings in the left-hand menu and select User & Feature Management.
Select Internal Users.
Internal Users in User Access
Internal Users lists everyone in your group. You can search, filter and export from here.
The table shows seven columns:
- Active: whether the user is enabled or disabled. See Disabling Users.
- First Name
- Last Name
- Team
- Roles: advanced permissions the user holds.
- Features: the features the user can access. See Feature Management.
Use the search bar to find a user by name or email.
Select Filters to narrow the table by Team or Roles & Permissions.
Click elsewhere on the page to close the Filters window. Your filters stay applied.
To clear filters, open Filters and select Remove All.
Select Export to download the displayed users as a CSV or Excel file. Any applied filters are respected.
Adding a New User
Select Add User on the Internal Users page.
Enter the user’s first name, last name and email address.
Note: the email domain must be on your organization’s approved list. To add a domain, contact support@persuit.com.
Select a Team. Every user needs one. To manage teams, see this article.
Optionally, turn on additional permissions and roles using the toggles (blue is on, gray is off).
| Role | What it allows |
|---|---|
| Group Manager | Manage settings (users, roles, teams), adjust savings on any request, manage request tracking, and create, edit and delete panels. |
| Template Manager | Create, edit and publish request and Engagement Letter templates, and manage Firm Profiles, Firm Reviews and the firm Contact Directory. |
| Insights | Access Insights dashboards and data exports, and the real-time Business Review report. |
| Auto-Share | See all requests created and sent by other users in the team, historically or for future requests only. Limit this to the few people who oversee team activity. |
SAML with role mapping
If your organization uses SAML with role mapping, roles cannot be edited in User Access. Manage them in your SAML environment. The Add User form then looks like this:
Select Add User to finish. The new user appears in the table and receives a welcome email to activate their account.
Editing an Existing User
Find the user and select the pencil icon at the right of their row.
In the Edit User window you can change a user’s name, team and roles. Email addresses cannot be changed. Contact support@persuit.com if you need one updated.
Select Update User to save.
Note: feature access is not edited here. Use Feature Management instead.
Disabling Users
Select the Active toggle in the user’s row. Blue is active, gray is disabled.
Review the confirmation pop-up and select Disable.
The toggle turns gray when the user is disabled.
Changes save automatically and take effect immediately. Switch the toggle back on to reactivate the user.
