In the PERSUIT platform, you can communicate directly with a client through the private Messages feature in the request using the external channel.
You may need to use the external channel of the Messages feature to:
- discuss participation status and timelines
- ask a clarifying question on a published Request
- discuss conflict issues
Your home dashboard shows all the requests that have unread messages, via an icon in the header as well as on the specific request card. Scroll down below the homepage tiles to get here.
Once you click on the request, the Messages feature can be found at the top of the specific request.
There are two channels: the External and Internal.
The External Channel allows you to message directly with the Client that has invited you to the request. This has a gray icon next to the client's name. This is where you can ask them questions specific to their request. This external channel is private between your firm and the client - no other firms have access.
The Internal Channel is private for you and your colleagues to use to speak about the RFP. It has a padlock icon with the word (Internal) after your organization's name. Any person at your firm with access to the RFP will have access to this internal channel and the messages within it. The Client will not see any messages exchanged in this channel.
