Use Messages in a request to communicate privately with the client or with your own colleagues.
Use the external channel to:
- discuss participation status and timelines
- ask a clarifying question on a published request
- discuss conflict issues
Requests with unread messages show an icon in the header and on the request card on your home dashboard. The request cards are below the homepage tiles.
Once you click on the request, Messages is at the top of the request.
There are two channels, external and internal.
External channel
Message the client that invited you to the request. It has a gray icon next to the client's name. Use it for questions about the request. Only your firm and the client can see it, and no other firms have access.
Internal channel
Use the internal channel to talk with your colleagues about the request. It has a padlock icon and is labelled Internal after your organization's name. Anyone at your firm with access to the request can see it. The client cannot see any messages in this channel. To give colleagues access, see How can I share a request invitation or proposal with colleagues?.
Once your questions are answered, see How do I create a proposal?.
