How do I attach a file to a matter?

You now have the ability to attach files to your matters in Apperio (e-Billing). 

With this functionality you can upload and store documents associated with your matters such as letters of engagement, fee agreements etc. All documents can be easily referenced back to and assessed.

A maximum of 20 files can be uploaded per matter and we support all file formats. The largest size a file can be uploaded is 500MB. 

Attach a file to a Matter in the platform

To upload documents to Apperio (e-Billing) navigate to the matters page.  

Find and select a matter from the list.

Select the ‘Files’ tab on the matters page. You can either drag and drop files into the page or click on ‘Add Files’ to find and upload a document. 

Once uploaded the file will appear in the matter files list. Here you can see the file name, who it was uploaded by and the date of the upload. 

Select the preview key to view the file in the platform. 

To download the file select the download icon. All files uploaded will only be visible to business users who have access to the matter in the platform.

To share these files with the relevant law firm, click the 'Share file with law firm'. The firm will then be able to view and access the file within their Matter page set-up.
