As of May 22, 2026, this is feature is coming soon.
In PERSUIT, create custom fields to build forms tailored to your needs. These fields ensure you collect accurate, relevant data for reporting, requests, and matter management. You'll use these fields to create forms like the RFP Tracking Section Form.
Navigating to the Custom Fields
To navigate to the Custom Fields manager, start by selecting Settings in the main menu on the left of any page.
Note: Settings and Custom Fields are only manageable by users with Group Manager Access. If you do not have Group Manager access but would like to, please reach out to a fellow Group Manager for your organization to request access.
Click on Custom Fields within Settings to be directed to that page.
If any custom fields have been created for your group, you’ll find them listed in this Custom Fields page.
Creating Custom Fields
To create a new custom field, start by clicking on the + Create Field button.
A new Unnamed Field will populate at the top of the fields list.
Using the Field Type dropdown, select the format of this field. These are the available field types:
- Short Text - up to 800 characters
- Paragraph - rich text with formatting
- Numeric - accepts whole numbers and decimals
- Date - a calendar date selector
- Multiple Select - multiple choices from a dropdown
Fill out the Field Name for this field.

Additional sections may appear based on your field type selection. For example, Multiple Select fields require you to define the options.
Custom fields can be set as mandatory within the custom form editing pages to require colleagues to complete it before submitting.
Previewing Custom Fields
As you create fields, you can preview the field’s functionality and appearance using the Preview section to the left of the field creator.
