What are Lawyer Profiles and how do they work?

PERSUIT's Lawyer Profiles is an expanded feature of Firm Profiles which enables in-house teams to connect with attorneys on a granular level. With an AI-powered, natural language search capability, you can use intuitive prompts and keyword-based filters to identify specific lawyers that provide the right legal expertise in an efficient and precise way. 

Sourced from Firm Prospects, these profiles include details on specialisations, publicly available casework, career progression, firm movements, certifications, education, and job title.

Navigating to Lawyer Profiles

First, navigate to Firm Profiles found in the expanded left menu. If you don’t see Lawyer Profiles, it may not be turned on for your organization. Please contact support@persuit.com for more info about how to turn it on.

Once in Firm Profiles, click the Lawyer Profiles tab at the top of the page. 

AI Search & Filters

At the top of Lawyer Profiles is a navigation bar that holds a View-type menu, the AI-powered Search Bar, a Sort menu and the Filters section. 

The View menu allows you to toggle between viewing "Active Profiles" vs. "All Profiles". Active Profiles are linked to a unique webpage and are more likely to be current. All Profiles include profiles without linked webpages and may contain less up-to-date information.

The Sort menu allows you to sort and organize the available lawyer profiles in to your preference.

The Filters section has 5 different filters available: Keyword, Practice Area, Title, Location and AmLaw Ranking. Select one or as many filters as you need to help drill down into the available lawyer profiles. 

Lastly, is our AI-powered, Natural Language Search bar. Search for attorneys using conversational prompts instead of manually selecting filters. Below is a list of Example Prompts you can tailor to your needs. 

Example Prompts

• I am looking for a lawyers in "location", specializing in "industry", and is ranked in the top 50, and attended "law school".
• I am looking for a "title" at "Firm" that specializes in "industry".
• I am looking for a "industry" "title" in "location". 

Viewing a Lawyer Profile Card

Lawyer Profile Cards present key information about the available individual attorneys in an accessible and appealing format. Each card includes:

• Contact Details: Direct contact information to connect with the attorney.

  

   

• Firm Website Link: A hyperlink to the attorney’s profile page on their firm’s website.

  

   

• Bio Summary: A concise description of the attorney’s professional background and achievements.

  

   

• Practice Areas: A list of the attorney’s specialties, such as corporate law, intellectual property, or energy law.

  

   

• Additional Details (Firm Prospects Data): Relevant certifications, status (if applicable).

Viewing Full Lawyer Profiles

View full Lawyer Profiles to dive deeper into the career and details of specific lawyers.

On any profile card, click on the lawyer's name to open their full Lawyer Profile.

The Lawyer Profile page will have the following sections:

• Contact section that includes contact details like professional email, LinkedIn account, and their professional phone number. You'll also see the Practice Areas and Specialities of the individual lawyer.

Note: You can copy any of the contact details using the Copy icon button. 

• Experience section that lists the lawyer's career timeline.

• Education section to show academic background. 

• About section that includes the lawyer's experience, role, location, memberships and accolades (if any).
