Introduction to the Spend Overview

The Spend Overview shows you a summary of total legal spend across all your connected law firms.

Select the spend overview page from the Apperio (e-Billing) side menu.

At the top of the page you can view the total spend across all your law firms broken down against billed and unbilled WIP.

All charts and totals on the spend overview are determined by the chosen date range.

Using the date picker on the top right hand, select a date range to view your spend. Choose from a predefined selection of dates or use the ‘Custom Date Range’ option to define a specific date range. Your chosen date range will update the figures shown on each chart on this page.

The cumulative spend chart shows your spend accumulated over the chosen date range. You can view the trend of billed or unbilled spend or for fees and disbursements using the tab.

The monthly spend chart shows your spend accrued for a particular month, split into billed and unbilled totals.

Hover your cursor over each bar to view the breakdown of spend for the month.

Click into a month to view the spend across your law firms.

Towards the bottom of the page is a list of all your connected law firms.

Here you can view the total, billed and unbilled spend for each law firm. You can also order the table by the number of matters worked, upload frequency and the date the data was last uploaded.

Use the tracker bar to track the spend for each law firm. Hover over the to view the total, billed and WIP breakdown.

Clicking the law firm name in the list will open the law firm analytics page.

To manually create a law firm in Apperio (e-Billing) select ‘Add Law Firm’. For more information on how to create new matters and manually add law firms yourself in Apperio (e-Billing) click here.
