Total Price is the easiest way to compare across different proposals, which is why PERSUIT makes it the default. It is also required if there is a Reverse Auction, as the total price field is the basis for ranking.

However, there are some situations where a total price is not relevant. For example, if you are sending a request for information, or if you are requesting quotes for hourly rates for different types of resources. To omit a total price deselect the checkbox in the Pricing section.
